Prayer is not our last resort, it is a powerful offensive strategy. We do not have to wait until tragedy strikes before we send our “thoughts and prayers.” Let’s raise a prayer shield in this Nation to COVER our children before they head back to school. It won’t be political parties, politicians, or pretty social media posts that shift the spiritual atmosphere of the nation; it will be praying mamas from every corner, of each state, praying for the Lord to rend the heavens and come down on behalf of our children! Today, Donna Martin, founder of GirlTruth.org, joins me to talk about the fight for our children and why prayer must be our first line of defense.

Donna Martin is a Pastor, Author, Motivational Speaker, and the Co-founder of the Joy Company- a non-profit organization whose aim is to awaken purpose in youth. Donna’s passion is to see young women leading in their community and walking in their true identity. She has been in ministry since the age of 19, leading and pastoring women in various capacities. In 2018, Donna launched a new movement in the Public School School system called Courageous. The purpose of which is to restore value to young women through biblically based, social-emotional curriculum development, conferences and events. Over the past 5 years, Donna has reached 1000s of teen girls with a message of hope and encouragement. She continues to expand her reach with her recently established online platform for mothers with teen daughters called GirlTruth. GirlTruth is an online community of 120 families from all over the US and 5 countries! Donna also authored a book entitled: #DONTBEDUMB that encourages young women to make wise choices, guard their heart, and passionately pursue Jesus. Donna holds a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hope International University and a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Oral Roberts University. Donna resides with her family in Southern California. She has been married for 17 years and they have 3 beautiful children.
