Are You Thirsty? – Part 4 – Recognizing Your Own Spiritual Thirst

It’s easy for parents to think that if they just do “A” “B” and “C,” their children will never stray from their faith—but it’s not true. This is why we want to teach them what it means to recognize a “soul” thirst.

Today, I’m giving the “Five D’s” of spiritual thirst.  You are loved, busy mom! God has so much more for you than the devil wants you to believe!  Start your week off with a dose of  grace and encouragement from the Bible. It’s the best thing you’ll do all day!

Firmly Planted: A Family Bible Study

In Psalm 1:3, the Psalmist David says, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord; he is like a tree, firmly planted by streams of water, who yields its fruit in due season and whose leaf does not wither.”

We all agree that teaching our children the life-changing truths of the Bible is one of our most important jobs as parents. But where do we begin? How do we consistently explore God’s Word in a way that helps our children understand and apply the core truths of biblical teaching in their own lives? The Firmly Planted Family Series is divided into ten-week studies and is your key to making sense of the Bible—even if you’re learning right along with your children. Each lesson provides a core idea, a simple narrative, memory verses and discussion questions for children of all ages. And the companion student workbook is filled with age-appropriate, full-color, reproducible activities for children of any age!

Firmly Planted’s Bible Study Series is perfect for use at home or church—as a family or in a group setting!

Educating the Whole Hearted Child

The Jesus Storybook Bible – The Jesus Storybook Bible tells the Story beneath all the stories in the Bible. At the center of the Story is a baby, the child upon whom everything will depend. Every story whispers his name.

Little Visits With God – This collection of devotions has served as a devotional resource for families with children (ages 7 to 10) for 50 years. An editor’s letter serves as a foreword, encouraging parents to attend weekly worship and to include devotions in their daily routine.

Each devotion clearly articulates the message of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ and offers practical examples of God’s action on our lives today. Each includes a Bible verse, short reading, activity suggestion, and prayer starter.
