Dr. Angela Plowhead was the first woman in her family to enlist in the U.S. Air Force. She went on to earn a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Plowhead served fellow veterans as a Psychologist at multiple VA Medical Centers before becoming a small business owner when she opened her own private practice. She recently announced a run for Congress in Oregon’s new 6th Congressional District, and released a new book aimed at talking about the important role of women in leadership.

Dr. Plowhead was the first woman in her family to enlist in the U.S. Air Force. She went on to earn a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Plowhead served fellow veterans as a Psychologist at multiple VA Medical Centers before becoming a small business owner when she opened her own private practice. She additionally provides investigation and expert testimony in court proceedings. She has been an active community leader in advocating for seniors and people with disabilities and as a servant leader and lay preacher in several different ministries through her home churches. She is currently running for Congress and will be the first biracial or black Congressman from Oregon if elected.
