Good morning, busy mom!
Do you need some perspective today? The Bible tells us that it is the Lord’s great desire to give us His perspective; His eyes to see.
Check out Ephesians 1:18-19 –
18 I pray that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may comprehend the hope to which he has called you, what are the rich benefits of his glorious inheritance among the saints, 19 and what is the incomparable greatness of his power available for us who believe, according to the
exercise of his mighty strength…”
Do you see that last part? His strength. His. Not mine. Goodness knows I can’t do much in my own strength. The older I get and the older my children get, the more apparent this is becoming. I used to think that when the kids graduated high school or got married,
that the need for strength would diminish. Not true. In fact, I’d say it’s even greater these days—different, but definitely still there. I need God’s strength to be the wife and mom I want to be—the one I know He wants me to be.
I need to tap into the supernatural strength of the Creator because I was designed with an innate need to have my needs met first by the One who created me. He sees me as one who has been called. He sees me as a woman who can tap into His grace.
It’s available—for those who believe.
Can you hear God’s voice in these verses? It’s as if He is saying, “Here, hold out your cup. Let Me fill it. Let me help you see yourself as I see you. Let Me fill you with hope. Find your strength in Me.”
Let the Lord be the one who fills your cup today, precious mom. There is a depth to your soul that was designed to be filled by God Himself.
Do you believe it?
Can you find five minutes, busy mom? Try.
Get alone with the Lord and give him your agenda today. Ask for His agenda, His strength, His purpose.
Open the eyes of our hearts, Lord. We need You.
Well said. Thank you for the boost! I really needed it 🙂
I believe!! Thank you for sharing this important reminder. Love you, Sis!
Hope your day is filled with peace and blessings <3
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!!
Thanks so much my sister for being obedient to the Lord. We often times forget where our main source of strength comes from. I know without HIM I could absolutely do nothing..(it wouldn’t work out right, because it would be my plan and not HIS) thank you for giving a good word of encouragement, my daughter is 8th grade this year and so thankful to the Lord that we homeschool her. Blessings of God’s mercy and loving grace be yours today my sister…In HIS love always..Gloria :o)
Grace, Gloria Garrett! 🙂 Welcome to The Busy Mom!
Thank you! I needed to hear that as I wonder if today is the day our baby will be born. His timing is perfect!
Thank you Heidi for being a wonderful source of encouragement. I sit each morning in my quite time, I read a chapter or two from the bible, pray, and now I look forward to your blog posts each week. As we are already wrapping up week two homeschooling, I seem to have a new peace and joy in my heart. It sure takes a lot of work! And sometimes I wonder how I will have enough strength. Your post is the reminder I needed. Thanks also for all the recipes you’ve posted. I’ve been meal planning and the crock pot has been my best friend. Brings me pure joy to see the smiles at dinner and a happy family. I must say dinner is probably our most important event of the day. Blessings to you and have a wonderful day!
Thanks Michelle! It’s encouraging to see God at work in the lives of other people. 🙂
