For the next few weeks, I’ll be recording from the bus! This morning, Jay and I were feeling like we were at the end of our rope. Can you relate? Are you weary? Feeling overwhelmed? One of the reasons I love the Bible so much is that we can follow the lives of men and women who faced tremendous obstacles and found strength and hope in the Lord. In the middle of all his problems, ‘David strengthened himself with trust in his God’ (v.6b, MSG). This was the turning point in David’s life. Those who, like David, have turned to God in their deepest distress have been repeatedly amazed at the way God faithfully delivers His own. His timing never fails.

Join me for Part 2 of this interview with Ryan Bombarger. Ryan has a rather unique perspective of the innate nature of Purpose. His biological mother was raped yet courageously gave him a chance to live and the beautiful gift of adoption. He was adopted at 6 weeks of age and grew up in a loving, multi-“racial” Christian family of 15. With siblings of varying ethnicities, he grew up with a great appreciation for diversity. Ten of the thirteen children were adopted in this remarkable family. His life defies the myth of the “unwanted” child as he was adopted, loved and has flourished.

Biden gives the thumbs up for BLM flags. And an encouraging story from the archives. “Your body is dependent on this drug.” Those are the words I heard from my physician nearly three years ago when I began experiencing seizures as a result of forgetting to take a prescription drug that I had been taking for over 25 years. “Benzodiazepines,” I was told as I sat sobbing in my doctor’s office, “are harder to get off of than heroin.” Millions of people are struggling with anxiety and millions more know how hard it is to break free from them. Today, my friend Melissa joins me as I talk very candidly about my struggle to get off of anxiety medicine and offer hope to anyone who is struggling to do the same thing. There is hope! Listen in an be encouraged.

Once, when I was young and free, I imagined my life differently.
In my imagination, I saw a few gorgeous children (maybe three) with my stunningly handsome husband and maybe a bird or a cat. But not both. I was nineteen when I married the stunningly handsome man. He thought a cat was a good idea. We began to imagine life together. He and his rock-n-roll band, me and my secretary job. And our cat.
