Have you ever struggled through seasons of disappointment, distress or discouragement? My hunch is that, like me and so many others, you have. The apostle Paul was no stranger to suffering and yet, he often spoke of living in the “fullness of joy.” Corrie Ten Boom, who suffered under the Nazis and lost most of her family in the holocaust said, “Joy is not a product of your circumstances. It is the unmistakable sign of the presence of God.” Today, I’ll be sharing some thoughts on why I Christians should be known as people of joy… no matter what they are facing. Strength is found in the joy of the Lord!
