The horror of the sex trafficking industry became unavoidable for a pastor and his wife as they repeatedly encountered victims in their ministry. Out of this birthed Compassionate Hope, a ministry that provides home and fulfills needs allowing these children to grow in a safe environment. Susan shares stories of these victims and the hope and future they find as they are protected and cared for.

Susan is the co-founder with her husband, Al, of Compassionate Hope and Lighthouse Ministries in Antioch, Tennessee. They have 3 adult children and 8 grandchildren. If you include her “children” in Asia, the numbers of children and grandchildren become too great to count!
In the United States, she is a popular women’s ministry speaker, sharing the message of Compassionate Hope and encouraging women in discovering God’s redemptive plan for their lives.
Susan is Compassionate Hope’s “Ambassador for the Voiceless” for the children and young women whose voices have been silenced in today’s culture. She travels throughout Asia, teaching and ministering to women and providing a grandmother’s love to the Compassionate Hope children.
