After 30 years of medical practice, Dr. Roger Smith was honored as the 2021 Louisiana Rural Physician of the Year, and in 2022, he released his first book, PARENTING WITH INFLUENCE: shifting your parenting style as you and your child grow. He and his wife Jan mentor young couples as they seek to have healthy relationships with one another and with their children. Dr. Smith brings together years of medical and psychosocial research, years of working with youth in a variety of organizations, as well as his own ups and downs as a parent of four stubborn children, to deliver common sense guidance for parents in the throes of raising kids.
