How To Discern the Truth of What We See and Hear Online with Kathy Gibbens

Our government is most definitely bloated far beyond what our founders intended, and President Elect Trump wants to change that. But what is going on with emotional meltdowns all over social media, how do we discern the truth about what we see on the internet, and how can we help our teens process through the garbage and gaslighting they are bombarded with?

“Hi, I’m Kathy and I’m so excited to be sharing this topic with you! I first learned about critical thinking just a few years ago, when my daughter was reading a book about logical fallacies for school.

We had so much fun learning the fallacies & soon found ourselves spotting them everywhere. But as I became more aware of them, I realized how few people know this information…and it’s actually hurting them and their ability to recognize good & bad thinking. I have a real burden for Gen Z & A to be equipped with the discernment they’ll need to navigate a world where it’s getting harder & harder to tell what’s true and what’s not.”

Kathy is a 13-year homeschool mom, business owner, Bible study creator, speaker and podcast host. She and her family recently moved to Texas, where they’re learning what ranch life is all about. Kathy hopes to get donkeys one day, and still does her daily walks with her dog, Ted.
