Land of the Free? Homeschooling Family in TN Threatened with Deportation

Fleeing Germany in 2008 because they did not have the freedom to homeschool their five children, they came to America seeking asylum. They have been here since then, contributing to and blessing their community. At their required immigration check-in in September, they were surprisingly told to get German passports to prepare for self-deportation. They have no idea why, and now face the fracture of their family as two of their children are now married to American citizens and one has their first child. To be clear, they have been here legally all along.

Congress has stepped in in the past, and we are asking them now to do the same so this family can enjoy the freedom to homeschool that we all can appreciate.

Join me today with Uwe and Hannelore Romeike and their attorney Kevin Boden as we talk about their story and how we can help.
