Joe Kent was born in a cabin in Sweet Home, Oregon. At age 18 he began a twenty year career in the Army’s Special Forces and served in eleven combat tours.  He then joined the CIA as a paramilitary operations officer and later served as a foreign policy and military advisor to President Trump.  Joe became a gold star husband after suffering the loss of his wife, Shannon, to an ISIS attack in Syria.  Joe has written the book, Send Me, as tribute to his late wife, Shannon, and to share the story with their two sons who were 18 months and 3 years at the time of her death.  Joe is now running for a seat in the US House of Representatives for SW Washington to fight for energy independence, secure borders, safe communities, and a strong economy for the American worker.
