 Inspiring. Uplifting. Encouraging. Real Refreshment Retreats are designed to recharge your spiritual batteries so that you can effectively minister to your husband and children with the joy and selflessness that God intends.

A Real Refreshment Retreat will affirm, energize, and inspire you as you join with other moms like you to celebrate the homeschool journey together. Whatever difficulties and opportunities you’re facing at home, you will find you’re not alone.

In Philippians 4, the apostle Paul exhorts us to choose joy regardless of our circumstances, and then he provides a checklist for us to measure our thoughts by: “Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things” (Philippians 4:8)

This year at Real Refreshment Retreats we will focus on thinking on these things. We are going to look at each of these qualities, define them, and consider what it means to think about them. God is faithful to speak to each of us through His Word, and we trust that He will reveal Himself to you through His Word at one of our retreats. We hope to see you at one of our events in Baltimore or Atlanta. We are already praying for our time together!

The Busy Homeschool Mom's Calendar

If you'd like to have Heidi come speak at your event, make sure her dates are free and then fill out the speaking request form. Heidi speaks to many kinds of groups—you don't have to be a homeschool mom to enjoy Heidi's sense of humor and down-to-earth encouragement.

Drop by and say hi if you’re in the area, and feel free to bring a book if you happen to already have one ... Heidi loves to "ink up" her books whenever she gets the chance. The St. Johns often travel as a family so come on out and meet the fam!

The St. Johns are also the founders and Executive Directors of Firmly Planted Family.org and Firmly Planted Family Bible Studies.
