Shapewear You Can Live IN

yummie_tummy

I’ve had seven kids. Did I mention that? Our oldest and youngest are twenty years (yes, twenty) apart! Pregnancy was not kind to my skin… and I’ve got the stretch marks to prove it.  I’m good with it—but still.  If you’ve had a baby, you know what I mean. Over the years I’ve tried a few of the torture devices called “shape wear” and I’ve never been impressed … until now.

Last month, a friend took me consignment store shopping in an effort to freshen up my wardrobe.  After saying goodbye to my mom jeans and a few other outdated items, I was introduced to “Yummie Tummie!”  Hello, new friend!

If you’ve been trying to figure out a way to smooth out your figure without flat-out fainting—then check these out!

It’s shapewear you can live in for more than just a couple of hours.

You’re welcome.

Maybe I just expected too much, but I have to disagree about “Yummie Tummie.” As a matter of fact, just today as I was clearing out drawers to make room for cold-weather clothes I came across my $50 Yummie Tummie girdle. It was a major splurge for me last year – I don’t spend $50 on any clothing other than boots! Anyway, I held it up and looked at it and thought, “Wow. I wish I had that $50.00 back.” It’s no different from any other light-weight girdle, and it’s really not even that wonderfully comfortable.

Just sharing this because it is SO expensive and I’d hate for someone else to dole out her hard-earned cash for a product that doesn’t deliver what it says it does. However, I’ll understand if you don’t want to post this comment on your blog. 🙂

Hi Edith 🙂 I don’t mind you disagreeing at all. I love these b/c they go down low enough and sit right on me without feeling stifling. Maybe I have a newer model—I just got mine. Thanks for chiming in!

I’ve never tried Yummie Tummie however I really love Janira! I find their fit is perfect and their styles for the silueta (in lace and regular; I have both!) are really beautiful.
