Introducing…

So I told you the other day that I don’t want to leave the illusion that I’m really doing it all, because I can’t!  And remember I told you we’re adding a team of writers around here to add more richness, recipes, fun and encouragement?  I have to say, this is an amazing team!

Between them, they have lots of children and none, typical and special needs, adopted and homegrown.  Some have beautiful marriages grown from ashes, and others will share about singleness.  Some homeschool and some do not.  But there is one thing they all have in common: this is a group of  women who love the Lord deeply, love their families and love encouraging other moms. They have all been in the valleys and on the mountains, and they all have a story to share.  I hope you’ll go check out their blogs today and get to know them a bit.  Many of them have written a post about their “every day” just for you, and I know you’ll be blessed!  And without further adieu, I’m excited to introduce:

Blogging and social media have become tools through which she can use her talents for the glory of God. As a busy homeschool blogging mom, Amber depends on God daily (and also coffee and chocolate.) amy wylerAmy Wyler blogs under the name, Gigi, at Gigi’s Place. Happily married for 17 years, and homeschooling my 7 children, she has a huge heart for wives, mothers and women alike. Being raised in a society that promotes perfectness and pride, I  encourage women that superwoman has left the building… and in her place stands a woman with a heart after God. Candace Crabtree

Candace Crabtree is “just a messed up mama in need of God’s fresh, new mercies daily ~ moment by moment!” She and her family live in East Tennessee where we homeschool our 3 children ages 11, 10 and 8yrs. Cheryl PittCheryl Pitt has been homeschooling since 2001. She is currently raising and educating five children. Cheryl is an avid social media user with a heart for strong family values and the companies that promote them.  Sensing a need to help establish homeschool bloggers online and support family-friendly business, Cheryl created the 2:1 Conference. 2:1 is a faith based conference for homeschooling parents active in blogging and social media. Christin SladeChristin Slade has a heart to encourage and equip women in aspects of discipleship, marriage, mothering, writing, blogging, and community. Her biggest ministry is to her family and she realizes how beautiful, hard, overwhelming, and exhausting mothering can be. Blog Bio PictureDurenda Wilson  is brand new to the blogging world, because she has been very busy the last 22 years raising 8 children and loving her awesome husband of 24 years.  Her two oldest daughters just got married last year and she is about to become a grandma for the first time!  With still a half dozen kids at home, five of whom are boys, life is truly never dull.  She loves making good food for her family and living life on 21 acres.  She enjoys meaningful conversation over a good cup of coffee.  With many years of marriage, parenting and homeschooling under her belt, she decided (with encouragement from her friends) it was time to share simply what God has graciously shared with her. Heather Haupt

Heather Haupt is a homeschool graduate now in the trenches homeschooling her own 4 children, she is passionate about being intentional, about cultivating relationship with the Lord and preparing to launch her children into whatever kingdom work God has for them! Learning is a grand adventure and a rich experience when we stop trying to replicate ‘school at home’ and embrace a home where we learn. She lives for the quiet moments of the day which are few and far between with two rambunctious young men running around the house. She strives each day to life fully for God and although she often falls short she is determined to stay the course. She is passionate about teaching my children the truth of God’s word through how He is teaching her, our school lessons and experiences as a family. Her days are best spent together with her family, at home, or in the outdoors, learning how to be more creative, serving and encouraging others, and striving to see and give all glory to God. MSunderlandMarianne Sunderland has been married to her husband, Laurence, since 1991.  She is a homeschooling mother of eight lively children ages 3 to 22. Marianne is passionate about encouraging families to discover and nurture their children’s God-given gifts and talents, in and outside of the classroom.  She also encourages women to joyfully love and serve their families. Her varied experiences homeschooling through difficult times and with kids who learn differently has taught her much about learning how to trust fully in God for her family and homeschool. MarcyHeadshotMarcy Crabtree spent nearly 15 years as an Ob nurse, sometimes juggling homeschooling with the job she calls her first ministry. Grateful that her main ministry today is at home, she has been married to Tom for 16 years, and is 12-year-old Ben’s proud momma. Her homeschool style is delight-directed with lots of unit studies, lapbooks and notebooks.  She is greatly influenced by Charlotte Mason’s love of living books and the Principle Approach method of homeschooling. Heidi has been married to her husband Jay since 1989. Together they have seven children and three grandchildren! The St. Johns homeschooled their kids all the way through high school. Heidi is the the author of seven books, host of the popular podcast "Off the Bench," and the founder of MomStrong International, an online community of women learning God's Word and how to apply it to every day life.
